I'm home, but I came home to find that my C: drive has failed and so now my computer is not doing anything at all.. x__x My brother is trying to fix it, and I woke up this morning to see that he is in the process of installing Windows 98, since obviously windows 95 did not cooperate. So anyway I'm blogging from his computer... and I'm back, but I'm not. xx
I did not achieve my goal of completing Claris's seventh day, but I did start it and finish 6. So voo. :B Unfortunately I can't do anything web related until my computer ressurrects. x__x I was busier than I expected, the only day we really didn't do anything was Monday, and I'd left my notebook back at the hotel...
The trip was alright, as family trips go. The Lion King was wonderful, though we saw it very late so we were all tired x__x Disneyland's California Adventure was fun as well, especially the Animation section... I got a sketchbook :3 In one of the rooms there was an extended trailer for Atlantis, and I think Michael J. Fox does the voice of the main character, whose name is Milo Thatch. This is good, because Michael J. Fox is one of my favorite actors and I'm very sad that he had to quit Spin City because of his Parkinson's. The whole Animation section was probably the best part, they had rooms showing you preliminary sketches and design concepts for certain characters, a film that explained how it was done, and a place called The Sorceror's Workshop, where you could do a number of things...one was a cave type setting like in Little Mermaid and they would overlay your voice onto a Disney scene. My brother and myself did a scene from Lion King; I was Simba, he was Scar :3
Another room was set up like the Beast's libary from Beauty and the Beast (duh :B), and they had 'magic books' (really just cleverly disguised computers) that told you which Disney character you were like based on a few questions... and I got.. the Wicked Stepmother from Cinderella X3 Bryan got Capt. Hook. :B The room was very nicely done, though--in the back was a portrait of the Beast in his human princely form, and beneath it a section of the wall was cut out and the rose with glass over it was placed inside. Cool. :B
So I'm glad to be home but very unhappy that my computer rebelled on me the first day back...we think what happened was is that one of the cats (probably my beloved Patches --) did its business on the tower, because some idiot (who was taking care of the cats) opened up all the doors, despite the fact that we'd closed them just for that purpose. x__x If that's true then it might not be salvagable, but... I'm trying not to think about it.
Until something gives I'm using Bryan's computer in the mornings when he is not awake. :3
