I feel sorry for parents that won't let their kids trick or treat for religious (or, even more idiotically, safety) reasons. I always try to respect people's religious convictions, but, number one, Halloween is, now, mostly just about going out and dressing up and having fun, and, most importantly, getting as much candy as you can possibly carry. Punishing children for your ignorance of what is actually NOT a satanic holiday is not only stupid, it's borderline cruel. It just pisses me off to see little kids forbidden from dressing up and going with all their other little friends because their parents are ignorant, religious sociopaths.
As for fear that there will be an increase of razor blades in the candy apples this year because of the terrorist attacks... umm..where the hell does that logic come from? Now, I can understand (somewhat) fears that we may be attacked on a broader scale while everyone is out gallavanting, but honestly--you can't let fear immobilize you.
