I do not like Saturdays; at least, I don't like early Saturdays. Everyone I know is either asleep (all my friends except Kai) or doing something (Kai, who has fencing and is apparently doing a diabetes walk today as well), so I just kind of putter around and waste time instead of doing something useful because I want too desperately to talk to someone to focus. x__x Ah, well, I am doing useful things now. Working on redesigning/updating Claris, I already put the front page design, how do you guys like it? I know the background image is a bit large (188KB o_o), but I think it looks kind of nice, especially for me. ^^;
Oh, yeah--been meaning to put these up for a while, kept 'forgetting'... two of my senior pictures, messily scanned together. Proof that I am not a hairy, middle-aged man, though those pictures aren't entirely accurate--I wear glasses all the time; I can't see two feet in front of me without them.
Bored and lonely, I am... I haven't really had much to say lately, either, except that my passion for the Harry Potter series has sparked anew. I decided to start rereading the books and am already back on The Goblet of Fire--I'm also joining this HP discussion blog, and you should too, if you like to obsessively over-analyze as I do. :3
Speaking of HP, I become more and more excited with each televised trailer I see for the movie, and to a slightly less degree, the commercials for the Legos and the faux potion making set. Mother, apparently, has dibs on the movie poster, which Bryan or his best friend Stephen will be able to acquire from the theater (seeing as how they both work there, though Stephen is a supervisor), although she assures me it will go in the rec room. She's never even read any of the books. -__-;

Before I take my shower and crawl miserably into bed, I'll mention that there was a bit in my local paper today about The Onion's first issue after the terrorist attacks, which said (among a few other things) that the average of e-mailed articles was 20,000, where before it was usually 6000-7000. Pretty neat, especially since I thought it was one of their best issues yet (in that it was sensitive AND it made me laugh out loud).
Ali has written a Claris story which is bloody beautiful, but I do not know if I am allowed to link it here because she said it was a draft.
And I can't remember who's Zereul--I don't even remember if there's a character for Zereul, but I think there is--I think it's that little kid-like guy with the pince-nez spectacles (like what Lucius/Shamshiel and another character of mine wear) who wants Kato's body (not in that way, he wants the mechanical parts)...minor guy, but he's real cute. The other Z character is Zaphikiel (sometimes spelled Tzaphikiel..); he's got black hair that's usually pulled back and his eyes are often closed being that he's blind and all... ::rambles::
And speaking of AS stuff... I know this is quite nitpicky and this person will likely never read this, but I'll say so anyway--but the fourth picture down here, the original isn't official Squaresoft art; it's Kaori Yuki art, the first image in the Angel Cage artbook.
This isn't meant to rip on that person, who seems very funny and nice, but I see Ms Yuki's art miscredited and misused a lot on the Internet; I guess because her work is still not widely known. People take art of her characters and say 'This is my character'--they do acknowledge Ms Yuki (sometimes --;), but still, it bothers me, and they say that pictures of her characters are pictures of characters from other anime/manga and all other amount of madness.

Fresh Karma and I updated AUE as well (and fixed its ReBlogger --;).
Note to all who care: The chance that clarisproject.com will expire when its date comes up (on the 29th) is very high (unless I can somehow find ten bucks or someone gives it to me/lends it to me), so if you've linked to it, first, I love you, and second, please change the link back to http://www.kurai.com/claris/ ^_^;;

An Unfortunate Event will be updated very soon. Since I have my scanner and my graphics program, I can scan and clean up my crap now, and make it semi-presentable for the public. And I do have various and sundry visual tortures to induce upon you all (along with the more expected literary torture that wants typing).
I think Mal's gone nuts, but at least she sounds pretty (and I'm never one to object to Angel Sanctuary references). I'm going to give up on this French essay and go take a stab at Murder in the Cathedral (wordplay not intended). I don't know if I'll like this book or not, but that is one cool title.
Karma's page will be delayed one day (that is, it will be up tomorrow). I procrastinated all weekend and consequently have a ton of stuff to do today. Sorry, y'all, I suck. ^^;

I want to see Tenshi Ni Narumon. I've already read a lot about it (including spoilers... I'm so horrible), but as I've said many times, the series that I take most from is Angel Sanctuary. I would be doing Ms Kaori Yuki a great disservice if I did not constantly own up to how much she inspires me. x__x Much of the angel mythos she created I use--well, okay, not ALL of it, but some things (there are many other things I created myself), but namely the whole bit with angels having their nerve centers at the base of their wings and how they turn into flesh eating ghouls if their wings are cut off, I use that. Let's see, what else... oh yes, and I use the plan of angels being born genderless and developing it as they mature. It seems that Ms Yuki's angels hatch from eggs, though, at least, all pure angels do--from what I've read and gathered, it seems that angels that come from two angels getting together are apparently freaks that are looked down upon as worthless. From where I am, angels are either created by God or come about from other angels, usually for a purpose (in terms of their spheres of influence.. like this and that produces this).
And of course I pretty well emulate her art style, although I'm trying to be more independent or at least develop something resembling my own style.
Yeah, that went way off topic... -___-; Let's go further...
There was a lot this weekend that I wanted to get done but did not... but at least I got my next AP English book...also I just don't feel very well and it's nearly ten... I've been seeing HP trailers on TV a lot lately and it's rekindling my passion for the series (have spent the last hours here) and I think that I'm just going to shower and reread the books to cheer myself before I fall asleep....god bless J.K. Rowling.. x__x

Aww yeah. Del sent me PSP 6! I have a program again *__*; I can finally get back to work!
And someone sent me a little Claris fic today too. :3 Speaking of Claris--I'm glad you liked it, Wendy. The next chapter won't be started until I finish the third Clarity chapter though. ^^; And I want desperately to see Ali's story, because I know that it will rock socks and probably even be better written than the original. X3
