Yeah, I feel like a P.S. all the time, too, Scully... (and erm, I'm reading Stay, I promise.. I'm lazy and slow. But the event that happens at the end of the first chapter is very funny and interesting.. and I think I already know which character you said was loosely inspired by Sean.. X3)
"Omae wa...nani o shiou to shite iru? Doko e ikou to iu no da?"
"You...what are you trying to do? Where are you trying to go?"

"Anata wa...dare?"
"Who...are you?"

"Utsurowazarumono."
"The One Who Destroys"(lit. The one who changes (the world) to nothing)

"Shinjitemashita yo...saishou kara."
"I've believed in you...ever since the beginning."

"Souda to iu no ka!? Chigau! Hito wa...hito wa sonna ni yogoretewa inai!"
"So is that what it is? You're wrong! Humans...humans aren't so evil!"

How I love the Internet. I guess I'll have to view the animation again with this translation in hand to see who's actually saying what (though I can guess, I'd rather be sure. I do know that it's Ryu, Nina and obviously Fou-lu speaking).
I love BoFIV's music. The opening animation music is great (although I wish knew what the hell was being said--why didn't Capcom at least subtitle it? Rargh), and the battle music for regular, but especially boss, fights on the Western Continent is also very cool (has a nice Chinese-y feel). The soundtrack is $40 though....
Prom tonight! n_n I hope it goes well. Yes, I will scan photos when they are made, because I know you are all dying to see me in my pretty princess prom dress. =P

Meanwhile, this is hilarious.

Still love Fou-lu. Laris and I are his fangirls. :B

Fou-lu and Mami are so cute together!! n__n I loves them. Mami is so sweet and uncomplicated, which is actually the perfect sort of person for someone that's all brooding and deep like Fou-lu. :3;

Umm, elsewhere... why are people so vain sometimes? I mean, I'm sitting staring into space and suddenly somebody decides I must be staring at them (usually a guy) when in fact I was merely looking off into oblivion and spacing out. Or I'm getting my calculator from my bag and suddenly I'm listening to the conversation behind me (or rather, trying to listen? it's hard not to hear when people don't bother to whisper, it's not like I can just turn off my ears or something). People need to get over themselves.

Second, remember back when I asked y'all to describe me a car? Well, I'm at the point in Claris where I actually need to use that information, and now I'm going to ask something else--what kind of music do you guys listen to in the car? Like, what CDs do you have? You may say, 'Lyn, why don't you just use your own damn music,' and to that I say, I don't have very many CDs and also that I can't even listen to them in the car because ours doesn't have a CD player (and I don't own any tapes). So what kind of CDs and tapes or whatever do you listen to/keep in the car? :B

I don't know why my brother expects me to be coherent at 11:20 at night. I lose coherency at nine thirty. This Scottish man on Jay Leno is pretty cool though.

I could probably whine for pages about how much this day sucked, but instead I'll just say that it really, really sucked.

You can apprentice yourself to Momo in BoFIV... that is awesome. XD (I read that Rei and Teepo are in the game somewhere too but I forget where. I want to see them n_n) Still love Fou-lu. Want to play as him more. =P
Oh, man, it's storming hard... the lightning is pretty, yes, but I really hope the power holds out. Power going out = bad. Power going out = possible Malfactor meltdown from being in off position too long. Power going out = fan not being on, which = lyn getting no sleep because it's too hot. Hang in there, power. n_n

I love to work with the Claris antagonists. I hesitate to call them villains, although Donovan is violent and insane, because they don't consider themselves evil and I don't think they're evil, although what they're doing is certainly not for the benefit of mankind. I like to write them because they're actually friends. Donovan, despite his treatment of Lucius, would still protect him and help him if he were in trouble (though he would yell at him for being an idiot afterwards and possibly rough him up a bit), as he would do for Leliel and Shateiel, and the others would do the same for him. Even though each of them have their own reasons for what they're doing, they're not only out for themselves--they care about each other. Admittedly, Donovan doesn't treat his allies very well (especially Lucius), but then again, he doesn't treat anyone very well, including himself. ^_^;
Hmm, let's see.... I don't really have much to say. I still haven't gotten new pencils. Prom is this Saturday... I hope it goes well, I really do. But on Sunday I have to get up and do group work for Physics (building a bridge with toothpicks... feh), and I just know that no matter how long I sleep in I'm going to be totally out of it.

Unfortunately, I'm too tired to really think of anything intelligent to say... my brain is filled with thoughts of BoFIV, the wretchedness of school (which, although I didn't think it was possible, has actually gotten worse), and of course the Claris chapter... n_n
About six hours into BoFIV. At the Golden Plains, which is reminding me of the Desert of Death from III, and if you know what that is, you know that it is NOT a good thing. I don't understand Capcom's obsession with mini-games. III had enough to be bothersome, but they are just everywhere in IV. Mostly I don't like them because I'm no good at them... I'm the kind of person that has to do it over and over, or otherwise take forever, to do it right. And even then, sometimes I get frustrated and have to enlist someone with a better sense of timing (like my brother) to do it for me. ^_^;

I think it's kind of interesting how the Fou Empire is basically what we think of as being Eastern, but it's the Western part of the world (whereas Nina and them are from the Eastern part, which, while not being typically Western, certainly lacks the Chinese influence evident in the Fou Empire). I just love playing as Fou-lu. n_n I like all the characters (well, all that I've met... I haven't gotten to Ursula yet), but in terms of interesting-ness and originality I would have to say Ershin... I wonder if they ever explain her? Like I said, it seems like she has a split personality of some sort, or something of that nature.

BoFIV arrived today. It's working great so far (at first I thought maybe I'd arrived a defunct part, but, no, I was just being stupid and not doing it right), and it has the case and instruction booklet in perfect condition...and it arrived quickly, too. I made sure to leave the highest feedbacks possible for the seller.

Some observations which I'm sure only a very few of you will care about (possibly even none of you) because, like Okage, the Breath of Fire series seems to be severely under-rated:

-Fou-Lu is AWESOME. I mean, AWESOME. I love this guy.

-Umm, there was a woman that looked a hell of a lot like Momo at the Dam place, and she had a tail, but it looked like a dog's tail. Bo from BoFII is Grassrunner, and he looks like a dog, and Momo is also officially Grassrunner. So is she a dog, and not a bunny? I've always thought of her as a bunny, and so have most people... but her being a dog would make more sense in terms of Bo and also with her relationship with Rei--you know, dogs and cats always fight (of course, I think they're cute together...). Still, she just seems more bunnyish... It's so confusing. n_n;;;

-The controls are kind of dodgy... but I like most of the music so far, especially the battle music when playing as Fou-lu. It's great. n_n

-Nina isn't useless! My God! I love it! Her Jump ability is useful, her magic is useful, and her offense isn't laughable either (she was so pathetic in III. It was just sad).

-Ershin is funny. Does she have a split personality or something? :3;; I'm also liking Cray, but I think I'll always just love the Worens. He looks very human though--a stark contrast to Rei, who even had a fur coat...Still, he has the ears and the tail, so it's all good. XD

Sigh. Time to vainly attempt to memorize the unit circle. How I hate thee, Math.

Oh my God! They killed the Lone Gunmen! YOU BASTARDS!!
Okay, I lied... I need to get new pencils before I can finish the Karma pages. If I can't get them by tomorrow I may just put them up in (gasp) black and white! o_O I'd rather not though...
You know... thinking it over, I'm completely baffled that the Claris Project has achieved any sort of acceptance or notoriety. This isn't about my lack of skill as a writer, so don't anyone start rolling your eyes and thinking 'Oh GOD not THIS again', but rather that it's just so self-indulgent. Now, naturally, writers are going to write about what they like. But Claris is really a mish-mash of just about EVERYTHING I like best thrown together--essentially, an attempt to actually tie all those things together. Those things being: angels, RPGs, the apocalypse theme, pretty people with long hair, gender-bending, and so on and so on. While I am taking out some of the more ridiculously stupid parts of the first half, and while I do think the second half is much 'tighter' in terms of plotting, it's still just crazy that anyone is deriving enjoyment from this but me. Not that I'm not immensely grateful and pleased that people find it entertaining--I mean, that is one of the reasons why I'm writing it, and I do WANT it to be entertaining. I just never fully realized until now, as I'm going back over it, how it's such a boiling pot of All My Favorite Things.
I'm a console gamer... but it's mostly because I'm lazy, and you can play console video games lying down or on the couch or whatever, and you have to sit up to play a computer game... (also my computer sucks and can't play any games of any merit whatsoever. But even if it could, I'd still prefer my PS2)
I love the Justify Your Existence feature of The Onion AV Club. All purveyors of creative work--artists, writers, musicians (which is what JYE focuses on), etc., should ask themselves these questions.
