My mom (for some reason) has three volumes of Shakespeare's works--the Comedies, the Tragedies, and then one with a bunch of other work like his sonnets and whatnot. This means that I don't have to run out and buy a new book every time we do a Shakespeare play. w00t. n_n
Whew! I can login to Keenspace from WS_FTP again. I think I'll fix things up and then draw the new page. W00t. n_n
Um, yeah, in more pleasant news... I got a drastic haircut today. Drastic. :3; Cut and highlighted. I like it well enough, even though it's kind of 'flippy' and I worry that my face isn't too round for short hair. But it will definitely be easier to handle now that there's so much less of it.
Ali, you are the most hilarious person I know. Those posts about Hanson and the SaGa Frontier fic are gold. XD I am laughing heartily in my computer chair as I read them. XD XD

God, my brother is such an ass. He gets home (and eats the other half of my turkey sub, after lying and claiming he had not eaten when he had) and almost immediately gets into a shouting match with Mom, which culminates with Mom storming out of the house (yelling profanities, even), getting into her car and driving off somewhere. I hope she doesn't hurt herself and that she comes back soon... she can be kind of irrational. -_-; I wish Bryan would just learn to let things drop. What they were fighting over wasn't even that big of a deal (something about Bryan's college business).

I have to take the SAT yet again tomorrow... the last time, and I dread it so, because I doubt my score will be much different from the other two times. But mom and dad insist, so. sigh.
I just finished watching the last part of a movie called Broken Hearts on HBO... I think Emiko and them would have liked it, as nearly all the characters were young/gay/cute men. I was surprised by the number of recognizable faces (including that guy who played Superman on the TV series), and it was just really sweet and cute (I cried at one part I saw.. I'm so easy n_n) and I wish I could have seen it from the beginning. :3;
This is the offending FFXI link (referenced in the post below the one about cute widdle Arthur).

What the HELL? Why are people making shrines to Final Fantasy ELEVEN characters (especially when they don't even know their goddamn names)! Ten just came out, people! Can we slow the hell down?!
I watched That 80's Show last night. I was somewhat disappointed. I had read a review of the show in USAToday, and unfortunately a lot of what it said was correct: it was more about how silly all the clothes and hair and dance moves were than about the characters and their lives in the decade. I was mildly amused by the fact that it's set in the year I was born (1984), but that was probably only me and the rest of the teenagers born in that year. There was a great deal of emphasis on the music of the decade, also (nearly impossible to do without it, as three of the primary characters work in a record store), which of course I liked, but the show just wasn't all that funny, partly because the laugh-tracks seemed way overused... and also because of the inevitable to That 70's Show, against which 80's pales considerably. Like Ali suggested when I was describing the show to her, it was more about shock value and gimmicks than any actual story or characterization. For example, one of the characters is a bisexual who has recently dumped one of the male characters. She then promptly goes after the male character's sister, planting a big ol' kiss on her lips in the process.
Then again, it is only the pilot. Perhaps it will get better.

A fed lyn is a happy lyn (until my stomach realizes that I ate too quickly and becomes upset, that is).
Today as we were driving to school, a white bunny rabbit ran out onto the road. My brother (who was, of course, the driver) didn't/couldn't/whatever stop in time and although we didn't see any bunny death, I felt the tires definitely hitting something. I was near hysterical; Bryan was shaken; we went back to check for a body. We didn't see one, but as we were going back to school I swear I saw a lump of white furriness in the road.. but by then it was getting late and Bryan needed to get to school for his Knowledge Bowl, so we left it... Poor bunny. -_-

So I was looking at my stats--and not the extreme tracker ones, the ones I get from addr that I hardly look at because they're mostly useless to me--and I see all these blogs in the referrers that I don't know well/don't know at all, and I'm thinking 'Ehhh?' and then I realize that it must be from the Claris test. So I'm going to these blogs to see their results, but unfortunately it was a while ago that I made it and some people don't keep archives. :3;; But, I must respond to one:
I'm glad you liked the story. ^_^ But, um, you linked to http://www.kurai.com/project, and the address is http://www.kurai.com/claris... could you maybe change it if it's not a lot of trouble? ^^;;; (I'm sorry, it's hard not to sound like a jerk when you're correcting someone n_n)
And, yeah, my Anael is a genderless freak, because Anael's sphere of influence is human sexuality. Anael in Angel Sanctuary is most -definitely- a woman though, but she's not Sevotharte--that's Laila. Anael and Laila were buddies, though. ^^;;
--I'm also realizing, as I look these, that I shouldn't have set the image dimensions as uniform because they're all different. D'oh! I r dumb. -_-
I'm glad that more people than I thought took it, though. I glow with fuzzies. ^_^

No, no, definitely not finishing this chapter tonight. Perhaps tomorrow.
Getting near the end of a chapter is very frustrating to me, because it means that I have a great deal written and I want to post it, but the impact at this point wouldn't be the same unless it was complete since so much (and I do mean so much--over 3,000 words, long for a Claris chapter) is already done. So I must press on until it is truly done. n_n

Today anime club had a marathon showing of the entire Trigun series (which is going on still actually). I didn't stay for very long, to the dismay of a few, the probable happiness of a few, and the indifference of most. :3; It's mostly because I have things I need to get done...also it's a school night, so I have to do my homework too. -_- But the time I spent there was fun, and I saw more Trigun, and it was good, and I liked it. (Legato is hot n_n Wolfwood has pretty eyes, and he looks really good in some shots, but in others his nose kind of aggravates me.. but he's still a cool character, from what I knew beforehand and what I've now seen)
It seems the Keenspace is having some serious issues, so I think I'm going to keep posting Karma pages here until it's resolved. For those of you whose memories on what's been going on have faded (and for this I do not blame you), I'll just recap (I figure everyone who reads this either reads Karma or doesn't care, so I don't really mind about spoilage):
Sattva was not-so-happily living the lives assigned to her by Kuruma. Her first life as a King ended badly, as she was very violent, so she was beheaded by her people. After a lecture from Kuruma, she was sent back as an amoeba. Meanwhile, Yamari delighted in this, and Sinclair delighted in Yamari's delight, as he spied on him with his little scrying sphere. Sinclair then went out and met Nemo, a homeless hungry boy, fed him, took his soul as payment, and put it into a little crystal. His secretary Mayavada disposed of the body. Sattva's life as an amoeba ended, due to an unfortunate encounter with holy water and a flame thrower, and Kuruma kept trying to give her another lecture and send her off to her next life, but was interrupted by the fact that (thanks to the loss of Nemo's soul) one of the dharma wheels had stopped spinning. Yamari scolded him for not knowing what to do about it, Kuruma quivered in shame, Sattva got pissed off, and suddenly the wheel began to move again. Yamari called for Mayavada, who told him about Sinclair's doings, though admitting that he doesn't yet know why Sinclair is collecting souls. Sattva finally got her third life, that of a 'rock star' (he's not really a star yet, but he's in a band, so), and Sinclair is freaking out because he can feel the presence of the soul he's been searching for.
There you go. :3;

This is the new Karma page. Does it please you? Keenspace does not seem to want to work right now, so. :3; For those of you who don't remember, as it has been quite a while, let me refresh you on one thing before reading the page--Mayavada works for Yamari as well as for Sinclair.
I seriously need to get my act together, or at least, decide on an act. I think I'd better just go with once a week, on Sundays, since Sunday is always when I seem to get it done anyway. A month between -pages- is just ludicrous. x_x; If I'd bought a sword like everyone else that went to MTAC I would commit ritual hara-kiri in shame.

Holy crap. I literally jumped in my seat after looking at this, for the longest time, trying to figure out what the big deal was, and then o_o Bryan got pissed off. :3;
Those geocities punks got me again.. The slrmana directory is gone. Fortunately I have all of those pictures saved. HA. HA. Sometimes paranoia pays off.
Nichole, that last MAGE chapter was awesome. And very sad. n_n But awesome. More, please! :D
