Hey, Rei (if you even read this :3;), I love what you've done with the place, but reading your main page makes me really hungry. XD;

Man, I am so going to hell. If not for all the other reasons (which, if you're a Catholic like I still tell people I am, can mean simply being alive), just because of everything I've thought up about angels. I mean, there were groups of people who thought it was a sin to even NAME the angels, and I've expended many brainmeats on thinking up all these quirks and so on, as though it were a species or race (which I suppose they technically are, but not in a traditional Biblical sense, if you know what I mean). I don't even think I can fit everything I've thought up into Claris (which is one reason why I'm doing this little extra thing I mentioned earlier... >_>). A few days ago I was thinking about battle behavior.

Obviously, I tried to make it clear in the story that angels prefer to fight aerially, for several reasons. The most obvious is that when you're up in the heavens then you don't get human beings involved or property destroyed, so Holy Wars can be conducted out of the seeing range of humans. But also, angels have their nerve centers on their backs--where their wings meet one another. Hitting the nerve center is somewhat akin to kicking a guy between the legs, except that the pain is increased by a fairly large factor. It can paralyze them for hours (while it usually only paralyzes a guy for a few minutes XP). Basically the equivalent of going for the jugular. Stroking it and touching it gently is considered taboo, also, because that would feel very nice. :3; Additionally, the only way to really kill an angel (and even then, it's not entirely certain.. angels are hard creatures to kill) is to cut off both of his/her wings. Since, in aerial fighting, the wings are constantly in motion, it's difficult not only to strike them but even more difficult to hit that sensitive nerve center, protected as it is by the beating wings.

Battles between angels in air usually end when one angel is able to weaken his opponent to the point where they have a hard time keeping aloft. At this point the angel will attack one of the wings in order to disable it, then kill their opponent by cutting off both wings (or however many they have--obviously it's more difficult to kill angels like Cadmiel, who have four, or angels like Metatron, who have six--you'd have to cut off all of them). It's considered incredibly cruel to let an angel live one-winged. Not only does it -hurt-, but they can't fly any more, and wings never grow back. Additionally, once one is gone, the angel in question can't hide them any more. So, they can't get back to Heaven because they can't fly (and even if they could, they would be ostracized as a freak) and they can't really live on Earth either.

Cadmiel, being a general, has been in a great deal of battles and has never let an opponent walk away with one wing.

DAD: Man, oh, man, I'm glad it's Friday.
ME: It's not Friday.
DAD: Don't ruin it for me.
Blech, Valentine's Day is a week from today. How I hate that holiday. Of course, I'm only saying so because I rarely have a valentine.

Anybody wanna be mine? XP;;

Ahh, I love Titus. Everyone should watch Titus, for it is a wonderful show. Most amusing.
Hm.. now I don't have to feel guilty for lying whenever I have to press a button on a website certifying that I am 18 or over. (no, it's not porn, it's the MSTing archive...for some reason it asks your age on any story with a rating above G)
::crying:: I finished Final Fantasy X... I won't spoil anything for anybody, but... if you're a sensitive soul like myself, keep the tissue box handy.. ;___;
Hee hee.. ::shivers:: I've never been up this early in my life... but SCHOOL'S CANCELLED!
::quiver:: Brr.. I hope the power doesn't go out again. It went out twice after the first time last night, and besides having no electricity, malfactor being turned off is a bad thing. He only freaks out when he's been turned off. .__. I don't want to have to spend today reformatting him for another time and going through all that stress (and losing some important files to boot). ::pets him:: Hang in there for a few more months, baby. ._.

Well, THAT was scary. For a minute there I thought I was going to spend the whole night enduring three things I hate: cold, darkness, and discussions of college costs. -_- The power went out. But it has come back, and all is right with the world. Well. No. Not really. But at least I can go watch Buffy now.

...God I hope there's no school tomorrow. Crystal streets! Crystal streets!!
Oh yeah.. Today is Kurai's 2nd anniversary. It's been renewed for two more years, and after that hopefully many more. ^_^ But yeah.. two years... Woo. o_o Maybe I should do something.. or something.. hmm..
And this FFT comic made me laugh out loud. I've always liked this artist, though. Glad she got her own domain. n_n
I love the Harry Potter fancomics here.. XD Especially this one (part of a very funny series in which Snape tries to get Lupin to drink a love potion =P) and this one. Kya ha ha XD

I'm going to shamelessly copy off of Cal-Tan and post the answers to my FriendTest thingum, since I'm sure that everyone with a mind to take it has taken it (as it's been a fair amount of time since I posted it). Sorry that there weren't scores like 78 and 95 and so on--I'm stupid, and didn't know how to divvy up points, so it's all or nothin'.

1. When's my birthday?
A disturbing amount of people thought it was the 2nd of February, which is Groundhog's Day. Obviously it's the first, otherwise known as last Friday. The majority knew it though, and I wouldn't have blamed anyone if they didn't, since I myself am very bad with birthdays.

2. Which of these characters was my first original?
Nope, not Claris or Sean. It's L.J., who appears in Clarity as the psychotically bloodthirsty Sailorknight. I created her many moons ago for a Secret of Mana story in which she starred (hhmm, it was kind of Mary Sue-ish, I guess. It was a bad story. I try not to think about it too much). I evolved her character until it got to where it is now. Naturally she was not always so Machiavellian, in fact she used to be quite nice. But most people aren't too Machiavellian when they're 12, which I think was her age at the time of the story. :3;; (the L stands for Lysistrata [used to stand for Luwana, as only Kristen and Nichole and perhaps a few others know], the J stands for Jade, her last name is Elder) Shame on you if you said you didn't know any of them. Pfoo. =P

3. What does 'kurai' mean?
Dark, gloomy. Basically everybody got this, although a few funnymen said 'ferrets.' If only. =P

4. I have three of this artist's CDs.
Ha ha! Everyone thought it was Enigma! This amuses me. It's Ace of Base. Yes, I love Ace of Base. Leave me alone. As for the others, I would LIKE to have their CDs, but alas I do not (I have one Enigma CD). I do very much like all of the other bands I listed, though.

5. I have been obsessed, in some way, shape, or form, with this game and its prequels/sequels for a very long time. x_x
Secret of Mana! Most people got this one, too, it's fairly easy. I mean, jeez, what's Clarity a crossover of, eh? n_n Not one person said BoF. Heh. If I'd known how to divvy up points I'd give some to the one person who said Persona, because I -was- obsessed with that for a long while. But I have always deeply loved the Seiken Densetsu series.. always will.

6. If you were to yell at me, or ignore me, or do something that I would otherwise find hurtful/insulting, I would...
Become incredibly upset about it, etc. Yes. I'm a crybaby. Most people knew that (man, these were easy questions. I should have tried harder =P).

7. If I give you a gift art, it's usually, but not always, because...
I'm pissed at you! Ever, ever so pissed. Unless it's a birthday thing. But random gift art for someone I know usually means I'm angry and am channeling that anger through art. I think I mentioned it in this blog once or twice. :3; (not to say that I'll never draw for someone out of luv. Just not normally. My art sucks anyway, you don't want it =P)

8. What is the nature of my sibling?
My evil twin! Anger management issues! Several people thought I had a younger brother. If only it were so.

9. Easy one--what's my favorite color?
Purple. :3 I do love black, but purple is my favorite. Not one person put yellow and only one put red. I hate those colors, normally, unless the red is crimson-y and the yellow is gold.

10. Who among these would be my favorite author?
Dave Barry. I have.. let's see...five or six of his books (that includes his novel, Big Trouble, which was made into a movie but was shelved because it involves a nuclear bomb). I love him good. I either dislike or have never read every other author on that list.

Dude, those were easy. n_n Maybe I should make another. Hard one. Perhaps. >_>
Am I the only person on the planet who likes (dare I say--loves) Seymour? XD I think I am. Ah well. That is all right. At first I just thought he was interesting (although those two pieces of hair that stick out like that and those clothes gotta go..they make you look fat, Seymour! Come on!), but after I went and spoke to the Guado near the game's end (especially after that), after that scene in the Zanarkand Ruins, and after the scene where you finally acquire Anima for yourself, I just can't help but love him, even if he is a crazy bastard with a distinctly homosexual voice actor. =P
The Magus Sisters' Overdrive r00lz, d00d! XD (over 25000 HP damage.. done to every enemy on screen x__X) The three of them are great. XD (woo, now I have every aeon! It is pathetic at how proud I am of this accomplishment)

::yawns:: Finished Strings of Fate. Want more.
And you know, people sometimes say I'm 'popular' and 'well-known' and all of that nonsense, and sometimes I get close to halfway maybe believe these people, and then I look at the popularity of things like Strings of Fate (or even a certain Sailormoon fanfiction series I know of), which outclasses me by a million miles (and hits XD) and I just shake my head. =P
Working on the next chapter of Clarity now. I can't believe the enormous time discrepancy between the last Claris chapter and number 3... September to January. Ouch. And it's already been since December from the last Clarity chapter (it'll be two months if I don't get this one done by the 18th). But, I am working on something for Claris fans (feels so weird to say that, although I guess I can no longer deny that they do exist -_-) until I'm able to work on the fourth chapter again. Nonsensical and shoddy though it may be.

Hee hee, the Mayor is playing Zelda on Powerpuff Girls.. he killed Navi. XD I hadn't seen that before.
I'm trying to tear myself away from Strings of Fate in order to accomplish schoolwork, but it's not going very well. =P It is so very good. Its pacing and plotting put me to shame.
Working, working... ::yawns:: I got Yojimbo in FFX, just a few more steps to complete before I can acquire the Magus Sisters. Then I shall be happy. It is a mark of how much I love this game, because usually I really don't care about getting extra stuff... but I actually care about some of it in this game. The more difficult things I don't think I'll attempt--like the Thunder dodging game--just because I think I would die of frustration by trying. But I will get the Magus Sisters. >_>

I must go over Hamlet's soliloquies and the sparknotes for the play. As a matter of personal pride, I must do well on the in-class tomorrow. Thinking about it is also reminding me of a huge AP English assignment looming over my head--the creation of 14 'reading logs' for fourteen different works, due at the beginning of the next six weeks (which doth fast approacheth). I have done next to none, of course. -_-;

It also seems that I might have to take the French exam after all, if what Kai said was true. But even if it is, I find that I do not care as much as I thought I did. I care more about the work he makes you do to get extra credit--like compiling all that vocab for the midterm (which I did not do, being exempt as I was). But if I'm not exempt, at least I won't have to worry about going home early so much any more. If I am exempt, then I'll just try very hard not to miss any more days.

Ah, school. How do I loathe thee. Let me count the ways. -_-
Heh! Stolen from Zoe. :3
hm o_o

I don't know who this is... very rare. I guess I'll find out eventually. :3;
New Karma yet again. n_n
