I like to be surrounded by such awesome people. And tonight I may die of the awesomeness, for I am going to have Japanese (for the first time) with 90 percent of the people I know offline that I find incredibly awesome.

Don't nobody know my troubles but God, don't nobody know my troubles but God...
I watched CN's new show, Whatever Happened to Robot Jones. It was... umm... um... Hm. I'm not sure. For some reason the style of the show--the art direction and style--makes me think 'eighties', and I really don't know why. It's mildly amusing, but Robot's voice--which for those of you who don't have CN and/or didn't watch, is like the automated voice generated by a computer when you input a text message and ask the computer to read it back to you. It makes me think of that and of Stephen Hawking, who uses similar technology to communicate (though I remember reading that he's trying to change the voice to have a British accent). To be honest I don't much like that voice. It's a little irritating after a while, being that it lacks any sort of emotion, even a poorly conveyed one, or resonance or depth. It doesn't do much to make the main character sympathetic, in my opinion, though the dialogue itself is not bad at all.
One thing I didn't understand was the guy who ends up being Robot's friend by the episode's end. This guy spends the episode trying to be nice to Robot, who rejects him at every turn until the very end of the story. I don't know about you, but I would have said 'forget you, man' after the first three tries. =P
I liked the new Powerpuff Girls too, although I'm wondering if it's just my own demented brain or they're putting in a lot of innuendo recently...

I'm trying to draw some Lazarus Jewelbox chibis for Twolle (as today is LJ's anniversary), but they are coming out ugly. Maybe I should try something else. -_-; I'm also going to draw Wrey for Tengu, because Wrey r00lz.
I like drawing, even if I will be forever inferior at the skill.

Dad just ordered the new computer I'll be getting. Tell you what--there goes my graduation money.
Its name will be Leliel.

I actually like how today's Karma Slave page turned out.
::runs to hide from the scary storms ._.::
Actually no, I'll probably just sit here and hope the power doesn't fail again. Maybe not a good idea, but I can't turn Malfactor off anyway.
There's so many wires and things back here... X3 If a powerful surge burst through them all into me, it would probably kill me. Either that or give me super powers. Both are good. (no, I kid)

Okay, that's it. I'm taking my notebook and a writing utensil with me EVERYWHERE from now on. I keep thinking up snatches of conversations or getting descriptions of histories of places and people and then when I try later to recall it, IT'S GONE. All I can remember is how neat it was. Damn.
So I called the house of my future Rhodes roommate, a girl named Whitney from Dallas, Texas. Since her mother and her are off on some kind of road trip, I didn't get to speak with her, but her father told me the only solid fact I have so far--she's majoring in Spanish, but she's also pre-med. Ummm.
Not condemning, but...why couldn't you have given me another English major, Rhodes?!

New Karma for j00. And there'll be pages tomorrow and the next day. w00t. n_n

Yup, all of Clarity's chapter titles are songs from either Final Fantasy Adventure (SD1), Secret of Mana (SD2), Seiken Densetsu III, or Legend of Mana, except for Revelation, Revelation Pt II and the Nature of the Moon. And, obviously, in somnis veritas (and its titles) and nemesis factor, tho those aren't really chapter titles. The song title does relate to each chapter in some way, though usually it's obscure (Three of the Darkside being the most obvious: it's the chapter that first introduces Xin, Aegis, and Sikari as the villainy). Since I couldn't find appropriate song titles for the Revelation chapters and the Moon chapter, I lamely made them up. ISV obviously has a latin theme, and nemesis factor.. just lame. No reason. XD
I love the title Second Truth From the Left though, which is why it's not only a Clarity chapter but also the name of this blog. It's just neat.

Something else I noticed at the tiger pens was that one of them looked just like Rei (from Breath of Fire III)--it had brown stripes instead of black. Apparently this breed is called the Golden Tabby Tiger (or Golden Bengal Tiger), and its one of the rarest animals on Earth (only 30 left). Wow. o_O
I don't know why, but I always like it when I get a random message from a guy that's read my work. It helps me feel less like my writing appeals only to the ladies, I guess. =P
"So Lyn, how was your vacation?"
Sucked! Okay, not entirely, but mostly. I often wonder why we persist in doing this. Most of it is just Mom complaining about what duds Bryan and I are. Bryan spends most of the day sleeping and I just hate the sun. =P I didn't get sunburned though. Oh, I'm a little red, but unlike my brother (who's peeling all over the place) I put on suntan lotion. To be honest I don't really like going into the ocean. I like watching it and listening to it, and messing around in the waves is sort of fun, but then you get out and there's sand in all your personal areas and your mouth is full of salt water and so on. Sand is so invasive. It gets all over everything.
Also I inevitably have to play mini-golf. I really don't like playing mini-golf, especially with my family, especially with my brother (who is a much better golfer than me).
But it wasn't all bad. We went to a boardwalk strip mall, and near its end was a small complex of holding pens for tigers. Luckily this wasn't where they lived--they only visited the pens for a while each day so people can look at them. It was the first time I'd ever seen a real tiger up close (no doubt I've passed tiger cages at a zoo when I was little, but I don't remember), and man, are they HUGE. One of the adults was a white Siberian tiger that was aggravatedly pacing around with its mouth open, so that spectators could imagine how quickly those teeth could rend them to pieces.
On the other side were pens for the cubs. OHMYGOD, the cuteness was unbearable. All of the little babies were sleepy and lying sprawled on the floor of the pen, and then one of the trainers came in to feed them with a milk bottle and they were crawling all over her and it WAS SO CUTE.
Anyway, the main purpose of this complex was to raise funds for the preservation that the tigers live on. Visitors can get their photo taken with one of the tigers (adult or cub) for $40. A little hefty, but it's FOR THE FLUFFY TIGERS. So of course I did it. I asked for a cub, because while the adults were magnificent, they were also a little scary, and plus you could hold the babies in your lap. ^^;
So here is the scanned photo. IS IT NOT CUTE? (I know, the quality's not that great--I didn't take much care in scanning it, I just wanted it to be good enough so that one can see the tiger. How I and my evil twin look doesn't matter)
